AZ/DZ Driver
McCann Redi- Mix located in Dashwood, Ontario is hiring experienced DZ/AZ Drivers. The positions available are local work and home daily.
Responsibilities
- Deliver product to designation in a safe manner
- Loading and unloading of a variety of aggregate products
- Keeping the truck and equipment clean
- Communicate openly with dispatch to ensure high standards of customer service
- Well organized and detailed with electronic billing
- Delivering outdoors in all season weather
- Complete a daily circle check of the vehicle and complete daily logs as required
- Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- AZ/DZ license required

Concrete Pump Operator

CONCRETE PUMP OPERATOR to join our growing team!
McCann Red-Mix has been in business since 1953. We are a family owned and operated company. We take great pride in our redi-mix division, but as our slogan reads, we provide even “more” to our customers. We offer a wide variety of other services ranging from concrete construction, aggregates,excavation, civil work and draglining.
Job Responsibilities
- Sets up, use and maintain tools and equipment associated with concrete pumps mounted on trucks
- Safely operate and drive a concrete pump truck
- Communicate with others, using signals, radios, to start and stop flows of materials
- Record pump information data such as products and quantities pumped and operating times
- Comply with safety regulations and precautionary measures
Job Qualifications and Prefferred Skills
- Minimum 3 years of concrete pumping experience
- AZ license
- Clean Drivers abstract and CVOR
- Able to navigate the basic use of a smart phone
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively

Boom Truck Operator

Job Responsibilities
- Drive truck from site to site
- Load and unload truck
- Safe Knuckle Boom operation, including set up and breakdown, equipment / rigging inspections and preventative maintenance
- Must be able to drive both manual/automatic transmission
- Show up for work every day ready & fit to work
- Perform daily inspection of company vehicle as per MTO requirements
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain mechanisms for Mack truck and Palfinger boom
- Ensure proper load securement of materials, strapping etc.
- Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload
- Observes and understands the company’s Safety Programs, Policies and Procedures
- Complete customer deliveries safely and efficiently according to the delivery schedule
- Operate forklift in a safe manner with proper safety equipment
Job Qualifications and Preferred Skills
- Valid Ontario DZ Drivers License (AZ preferred but not required)
- Clean Drivers abstract and CVOR
- 0-8 Tonne Boom Certificate
- Able to navigate the basic use of a smartphone
- Minimum 2 years Commercial driving experience
- Reliability and excellent attendance a must

Float Operator
Concrete Finisher / Apprentice

Job Responsibilities
• Concrete Form Setting (carpentry) for concrete flatwork and occasionally concrete walls
Projects involve (but are not limited to): concrete floor and flatwork including machine finished floors, large agricultural slabs, driveways and decorative work.
Job Qualifications and Preferred Skills
- Minimum of 3 years experience Apprentice- We will train!
- Ability to keep projects on schedule if foreman is not on-site
- Experience operating a laser screed is an asset but not a requirement. Willing to train the right candidate
Licensed 310T Technician
McCann Redi-Mix Inc. is currently seeking experienced individuals for the positions of LICENSED 310T TRUCK AND COACH TECHNICIAN at our Dashwood location. The desired candidate will be responsible for permforming diesel machinery diagnostics, repairs and maintenance both on and off site.

- Repair and maintain heavy trucks, vehichles and equipment
- Log and maintain maintenance records electronically
- Clean and organize shop
Job Qualification and Preferred Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work well with others
- Licensed 310T mechanic
- 1-3 years’ minimum experience on heavy fleet equipment and vehicles
- Experience with computerized diagnostics
- Valid Class G license
